Christmas in (Late) July Card!

Hi guys, hope everyone had a great weekend! It's SCORCHING hot here in Atlanta....perfect weather for staying inside, crafting, and dreaming of cooler weather. So when
I saw this precious llama stamp from Serendipity Stamps, I was inspired to create a Christmas card!

Just look at this cute little guy, all dressed up for the holidays!

Creating this card was so much fun! I first stamped the llama image onto Neenah 110 lb cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored him with Copic markers (W0, W1, W3, and W5). I then cut him out using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rectangle Frames Dies. I cut another rectangle from mirror black cardstock and framed him using that. When I initially cut the llama out, there was a bit of his neck left over so I glued that on top of the black frame to elongate his neck. I loved the way it turned out! I decorated my little llama with a bit of red jute string and a jingle bell brad (I snipped off the back of the brad using my craft snips and used Ultimate Glue to secure it below the ribbon).

I added a little green border around that and put some foam tape on the back while I prepared the rest of the card.

I then cut the largest A2 sized rectangle from black mirror cardstock using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rectangle Die. To this I added a black and red patterned paper from Carta Bella's "Christmas Delivery', bordered by a little red mat.

I die cut some snowflakes using Serendipity Stamp's Reverse Snowflake Die and placed a few of them on the edges of the patterned paper. After that I removed the backing from the foam tape on my llama panel and added the panel on top of the patterned paper. A few more snowflakes were added on top. Finally,  I added sequins to the centers of all the snowflakes for some bling.

For the inside of this A2 card, I created another black mirrored panel, a little red border, and more Carta Bella ' Christmas Delivery' paper. I stamped this wonderful sentiment,  'Merriest of Merrys', from Serendipity Stamps and added a black cardstock border and another snowflake.

I wish you guys could feel the weight of this card! All of those layers really make for a nice, solid card....it just feels great in your hand.

I hope you all enjoyed my Christmas in July card! Rest assured there will be many more Fall and Winter cards coming up soon! Thanks for visiting!
